| Management changes at Panalpina | 01/21/2008
| Resignation of Chief Marketing & Sales Officer John Klompers. Nomination of a new Head of Corporate Development and an Officer of the newly created Corporate Compliance department. |
 | | John Klompers, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer and member of the Company’s Executive Board, is leaving Panalpina to pursue other professional challenges after having been with the company for 13 years. He has been released from his current responsibilities by mutual agreement. Panalpina thanks John Klompers for his great effort and contribution. A decision related to this position will be taken after the current review of group structures has been finalized. |
 | | In the meantime, two key management positions reporting directly to CEO Monika Ribar have been filled. Dr. Joachim Schäfer (39) has been nominated Head of the enlarged Corporate Development function. This function includes global responsibility for mergers and acquisitions transactions. Joachim Schäfer will join Panalpina on 1 February 2008 from Deutsche Post, where he has held various management positions among else in corporate development and sales & marketing. |
 | | Markus Heyer (43), the former Head of Business Processes and Quality at Panalpina, has been appointed Corporate Compliance Officer effective 1 January 2008. This function has been created as part of the strengthening of the Company’s existing compliance programs and organization. Markus Heyer’s main task will be to further develop Panalpina’s global compliance organization and to implement additional compliance policies, procedures and training tools as part of Panalpina’s group-wide Code of Business Conduct. |
